The 8th Galileo–Xu Guangqi Meeting will be held in Ningbo, Zhejiang, from 2 to 4 November 2026, bringing together researchers working on the late stages of stellar evolution, compact objects and their high-energy processes. The meeting is organised jointly by Ningbo University and ICRANet, and hosted by the Institute of Fundamental Physics and Quantum Technology at Ningbo University. Registration opens on 1 November, sessions run from 2 to 4 November, and departure is on 5 November. The registration fee is CNY 1,800 (CNY 1,600 for students) and covers conference materials, coffee breaks and meals during the meeting; travel and accommodation are at participants’ own expense. Deadlines for abstracts and registration, together with hotel and payment arrangements, will be announced in the second circular.
